Satellite dishes

Cable television is being installed on the Suburb so the needs for externals aerials should become less common. Satellite antennae can be particularly intrusive so size, design, siting and colour should minimise the impact on the building. A dish may be sited in the rear garden and screened by planting. A dish capable of being sited flat against the building is now available. This design is preferable. The Council is unlikely to give permission to attach a dish to a listed building. The Trust is unlikely to give consent to attach a dish to any building, except perhaps a ‘flat’ dish in an inconspicuous position.
