The information below may be subject to change and any Covid-19 rules in place at the time.

The Hampstead Garden Suburb Horticultural Society normally holds shows twice a year, in June and September. This year there will also be a non-competitive Spring Flower Exhibition in April.

Show dates for 2022:

  • Saturday 9th April
  • Saturday 11th June
  • Saturday 10th September

The Spring Flower Exhibition will be held on Saturday 9th April 2022, from 2.00-4.00pm at Fellowship House, 136a Willifield Way, London NW11 6YD (Map here). Entry free. There will be a scarecrow competition – get together with family and friends to make a scarecrow of your favourite Disney character. Scarecrows will be displayed in the Free Church Hall garden, or indoors if wet. They should be brought to the Hall by 11am on the day of the show. Judging will take place at approximately 3.30pm.

The Autumn show will be held on Saturday 10th September 2022, from 3.00-5.00pm at The Free Church Hall, Northway, London NW11 (Map here). Entry Night Tuesday 6th September at Fellowship House, Willifield Way, London NW11 from 7.00-8.00pm. Grimsdyke Brass will play throughout the afternoon.

Regulations - together with some handy hints - can also be found in the handbook. If you are new to showing, the Show Coordinator will be happy to explain anything you need to know beforehand, and on the day of the show there are always committee members around in the hall during the entry period, who will be pleased to help.

The subject for the photography competition at the June Show is ’Wildlife in your Garden’, and at the September Show is ‘Foliage’. The competitions are open to adults and children of all ages, and details can be found in the members’ handbook. Bakers intending to enter the shows will also find subject headings and recipes for this year's baking competitions in the handbook.

There are also classes for Juniors aged from under five to 12+ at both shows.
