QUIZ NIGHT

OUTING TO ANGLESEY ABBEY

SEED SWAP in association with HGS Allotments

Collect and dry ripe veg, herb or flower seeds from your garden and bring them to the meeting to exchange for seeds from other people's gardens on the Suburb. or just come and listen to the Talk from Chris Collins, former 'Blue Peter' gardener. ANNUAL PLANT SALE

ENTRY NIGHT FOR THE 283RD FLOWER SHOW

SUMMER FLOWER SHOW

  • Saturday 17 June from 3pm to 5:30pm
at Free Church Hall Northway, London NW11 6PB.
The popular flower show bringing the sights and scents of the country to our London suburb. Full details will be published in the members' handbook in January 2017. Hopefully, the show will be opened and children's activities judged by our Hon President, Jonathan Ross (to be confirmed). Home-made teas, raffle. Entry for non-members £2. Members and children free.

OPEN GARDENS in conjunction with the National Gardens Scheme

  • Sunday 25 June
at Fellowship House 136a Willifield Way, London NW11 6YD.
This year nine of the Suburb's finest gardens and one allotment are opening on one day as a group featured in the National Gardens Scheme yellow 'Gardens to Visit' book, in which garden owners raise funds for nursing, cancer and other worthwhile national charities. Tickets with maps available from Fellowship House and one other venue on the day only. Refreshments at Fellowship House, where two well-known nurseries will be selling a fantastic selection of plants. Plants will also be available in some of the gardens. Full details of price and gardens will be published in Suburb News and on the Horticultural Society website (www.hortsoc.co.uk) nearer the time and can also be found in the 2017 yellow 'Gardens to Visit' book published by the National Gardens Scheme and on the NGS website early next year. Copies of the free 'London Gardens' booklet will also be available to pick up at Fellowship House, the HGS Community Library in the Market Place, etc., once it is published in the Spring 2017.
