LJCC - Singed Eyelashes: The Extraordinary Song and Story of Jewish Women Partisans with Maureen Kendler

How did Jewish women in the Second World War Resistance respond to the challenges of fighting in the forests as partisans? What did it mean to be a woman in this desperate situation? Maureen will share the untold stories and songs of women who achieved so much in this nightmare world. 

Maureen Kendler is globally recognised as a superb educator. She is a teaching fellow at the London School of Jewish Studies and is a UJIA Ashdown Fellow. Her background and foreground combines teaching literature and Jewish texts.
