LJCC - Ivy House Music and Dance Vladimir Ashkenazy In Conversation with Edward Seckerson
at Ivy House .
£20
We welcome one of the world’s most revered musicians, Vladimir Ashkenazy.
Having forged a career as one of the greatest pianists, he has devoted much of the last 20 years to conducting. Ashkenazy is Conductor Laureate of the Philharmonia Orchestra and Music Director of the European Youth Orchestra. We present an exclusive opportunity to hear him talk with Edward Seckerson about his life as a pianist and conductor, including his background and training in Russia, the magnificent repertoire of his performances and his acclaimed interpretations of Russian and Romantic composers. I believe that interpretation should be like a transparent glass, a window for the composer's music.
